From the medieval fortress that is Conwy Castle to its twentieth century involvement in World War II, Conwy has a fascinating history. A local engineer, Hugh Iorys Hughes, designed and built sections of the Mulberry Harbour in the Conwy Morfa area. These sections were used as part of the D Day landings in France, enabling vast numbers of troops, vehicles and supplies to be brought ashore. The Mulberry pub/restaurant on the marina today commemorates this history. In 1986 the same Conwy Morfa area was converted into a dry dock to construct the road tunnel sections under the River Conwy. Once completed the old dry dock was converted into the Marina we see today.

Our aim is to introduce people from all walks of life to the fun and immersive experience of sailing, without them having to commit to the expense of formal training courses, without them having the expense of purchasing specialised equipment and without them having to sleep on board a boat.

Sailing is also an excellent way of Team Building and developing leadership skills. Get your office based teams away from their desks and on to the water.

No prior sailing experience or sailing qualifications are necessary.

Already an experienced sailor? Take the opportunity to hone/refresh your skills where, for example, you have had a sailing break or don’t regularly sail.

There is plenty of magnificent scenery to see in the area, including the wonderful wildlife.

We also want to give people the opportunity of getting out on the water when, by reason of finance, physical limitations, mental health issues or self confidence issues they might consider that sailing is not an activity that is open to them. Mr & Mrs T (Southport) (2019)

This is an excellent company delivering fantastic sailing trips...... If anyone ever fancies having trying a day’s sailing or planning a longer trip over a few days Fyne Sailing is the company to use. I have sailed with many companies over the years but Fyne Sailing have the best boat, equipment and they are fantastic people...... A five star company, highly recommended!!

Mr R (Harrogate) (2019)

Never been sailing before, had a great day! Wind was a tad unpredictable and I was a little bit of a wuss but loved every minute. Alison and Mark were welcoming and very personable. All in all an experience worth having!

Ms S (Glasgow) (2019)

Had a fantastic afternoon with Fyne Sailing!....Blue-J was a dream. But it's Alison and Mark that makes it special. We had a little flexibility with the timing, enabling Mark to arrange the weather accordingly! Kate wanted to just chill out on the boat, but I wanted to try and get my hands dirty. So Alison let me hoist the sails and Mark talked me through the basics of sailing. We even reefed the mainsail due to the blustery conditions, which I found a bit confusing at first, but understood eventually. All in all a magical experience, going to register in an RYA competent crew course now. Thanks very much!
